The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) has appointed Dr Natasha Verma as Chair of its Education and Training Committee, effective from 1 September 2026.
Dr Verma brings extensive experience across aesthetic medicine, postgraduate education and educational governance. Her background includes developing accredited qualifications, overseeing quality assurance processes and supporting the delivery of high educational and professional standards. Her appointment will bring valuable clinical and educational expertise to the Committee at an important time for the aesthetics sector.
Expertise in Education and Quality Assurance
As Clinical Training Director at a Level 7-approved centre, she leads postgraduate education in aesthetic medicine. Her work on the Level 7 programme brings curriculum design, clinical assessment, governance policies, and quality assurance processes together.
As a University Clinical Lecturer and examiner at King’s College London, Dr Verma educated and assessed undergraduate students providing the skills required to ensure a high standard of patient care.
She was also Sub-Assessment Board Chair at King’s College London, with responsibility for examination standards, moderation and quality assurance across multi-cohort programmes. This experience has given her a strong understanding of qualification approval, academic governance and the importance of maintaining consistent and credible educational standards.
Supporting Standards Across Aesthetic Practice
In her new role, Dr Verma will lead the Committee’s work in scrutinising qualification applications against the JCCP competency framework, helping to ensure that education and training meet the standards required for safe and competent practice.
She will also support the continued development of educational standards, assessment processes and quality assurance, working with relevant stakeholders to promote consistency and confidence in aesthetic training and qualifications.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for the aesthetics sector, as regulatory developments and increasing focus on professional accountability highlight the importance of robust qualifications, effective assessment and public protection.
Combining clinical experience with expertise in education and governance, Dr Verma will bring an independent and evidence-informed perspective to the Committee. Her leadership will support the JCCP’s ongoing commitment to improving professional standards, strengthening education and training, and placing patient safety at the heart of aesthetic practice.
Commitment to Patient Safety
Commenting on her appointment, Dr Verma said:
“I am honoured to chair the JCCP’s Education and Training Committee and grateful for the Board’s confidence in my leadership. I support stronger regulation of aesthetic medicine because patients deserve to know what they can expect from the practitioner treating them. Practitioners deserve equal clarity about the training, supervision and support they need as they take on more complex work. In my experience, patient safety and professional development go hand in hand."
“The JCCP brings patients, practitioners and educators together to shape standards that reflect what happens in the clinical setting. The register gives the public a way to check credentials and help practitioners identify approved training. As Chair, I will lead the Committee’s work to define what competence looks like for each procedure and how practitioners can demonstrate it. That gives our sector a sound basis for progress: as treatments evolve, the education and safeguards behind them must keep pace."
