The DHSC has outlined the first phase of its plan to introduce regulation and licensing across the aesthetics sector, including:

• Limiting high-risk procedures to  CQC registered qualified healthcare professionals
• Licensing clinics offering injectables such as Botox® and dermal fillers
• Protecting under-18s from unsafe cosmetic treatments
• Setting national standards for training, insurance, and premises safety
